‘A BRIGHT DAY’ SS16 BY PHOTOGRAPHER LAILA COHEN FOR TRUE FASHION SHOW

The exhibition for the True Fashion Show by photographer Laila Cohen is created in collaboration. The story by Laila Cohen is divided into three chapters photographed on a bright day. She combines fashion photography with lighting, colour and texture studies within her photographs.

Laila Cohen has been working in the field of sustainable fashion since she graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, where she wrote a thesis titled ‘An Alternative to Fast Fashion‘. Cohen interned at Annie Leibovitz and Ryan McGinley in New York, has had several publications and clients. She exhibited at the Stadsschouwburg, Amsterdam (2014), 15 Warren, New York (2013) and Foam, Amsterdam (2013). In the beginning of 2016, Cohen launched an online magazine ‘Imprint Mag‘ which showcases sustainable fashion editorials and portraits of designers and influencers who work in a sustainable way.

We work together with Laila Cohen regularly to prove through several photo shoots and photography exhibitions that there is no need to give in on style when you choose for true fashion.
