DUTCH SUSTAINABLE FASHION WEEK 2018

For Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week 2018 Gemeente Amsterdam West asked us to develop and roll out event concepts to inspire and activate local fashion lovers to make sustainable fashion choices. We organised three events, covering a large part of the official DSFW downtown programme.

CONCEPT + PRODUCTION

To reach young fashion lovers at the beginning of their fashion journey we teamed up and rolled out multiple events. The briefing was to organise a series of low key events, attracting young people with an interest in fashion from different backgrounds. We produced the events from venue selection and speaker curation to writing scripts for the evenings, hosting and event promotion.

TRUE FASHION ACADEMY

_

A select group of fashion lovers could sign up for the True Fashion Academy – a unique opportunity to learn why sustainability in fashion is important and who the important icons are that paved the way for sustainability and fair trade to become noticed. We teamed up with Sticky Fingers, the bubblegum pink blogger’s hotspot. No one less as Marieke Eyskoot, Annouk Post and Fatima Essahsah inspired and empowered the visitors with tools and knowledge.

TRUE FASHION MARKET

_

We invited Amsterdam’s finest sustainable fashion brands to show their goods at the well loved Sunday Market in Westerpark. At the same time spread over the Westergas terrein; Sustainable fashion experts showed visitors how easy it is to make sustainable fashion choices and there were multiple pop up shops proving there is no need to give in on style when going sustainable.

STREETSTYLE REPORT

_

Gemeente Amsterdam West asked us to facilitate an interactive and inspiring conversation with the locals, to create awareness and open minds for sustainable fashion. Our streetstyle photographer handpicked the trendy visitors and sparked them into personal conversations about fashion choices.

PILLOW TALK

_

Inspired by John Lennon and Yoko Ono we hosted an intimate event with industry heavyweights on how to improve a dirty industry, under clean sheets. Tony Tonnaer (Kings of Indigo) and Ciara Shah (Verse Goodstore) reflect on the industry’s current state of play. The audience is set up separately with headphones and a drink while they listen and watch these experts talk about how to move the industry forward.
